Embarking on yet another thrilling journey through the captivating landscapes of Pomerania (Pomorze, Pommern), I am excited to share a new collection of photographs that further explore this enchanting region's rich history and natural beauty. Each visit reveals new layers of inspiration and offers fresh perspectives that continually fuel my passion for photography.
This time, my travels took me to numerous fascinating locations, including Łeba, Hel, Jastarnia, Kąty Rybackie, Malbork, Steblewo, Łapalice, and Babie Doły in Gdynia, among other hidden gems. Armed with my reliable Pentax 645Nii digital camera and a selection of film from Kentmere and Ilford Photo, I captured the essence of each destination.
I had the privilege of photographing the vibrant beach life along the coastlines, the serenity of historic churches, the intrigue of ancient ruins, and the grandeur of palaces—some of which were weathered and in ruins, adding a layer of nostalgic beauty. The medieval castles stood as proud testaments to the region's storied past, while the mysterious shipwrecks and abandoned bunkers whispered tales of years gone by. I also captured the striking presence of windmills, a testament to the region's harmonious blend of natural beauty and human ingenuity. Additionally, I enjoyed capturing everyday life in Babie Doły, a charming neighborhood in Gdynia, which offered a glimpse into local daily routines. Each click of the shutter aimed to encapsulate the essence of Pomerania’s coastline and the charm of daily life.
Pomerania offers an abundance of exciting photographic opportunities that highlight its unique blend of history, culture, and natural beauty. Whether it's the ever-changing coastal landscapes, atmospheric ruins, or bustling local scenes, there's always something new to discover through the lens.
